Fair questions
Because it isn't ours. Land ownership, unit boundaries, draw results — it's government data your taxes produced. Charging for access to it is the incumbents' business model, not a law of nature.
The code is AGPL-licensed and goes public at launch, pipeline included — from then on anyone, including you, can stand the whole thing up with one docker command. Your data exports anytime as GPX or GeoJSON.

We sell the work. We never sell the data.
Yes, genuinely, once the source goes public at launch — run it yourself and you get sync, sharing, Watch and reminders on your own server. Pro is the same work, hosted and backed up and kept running by us, for less than a nonresident application fee.
